Watch that Mouthwash

It seems I am more likely to write when I am Philadelphia. Yes that's right I am back in Philly for a test for a potential job. Tomorrow morning my German skills will be tested for approximately 4 hours. After that I plan to finish some long overdue work and then hit the town. Last time I was here I thought I failed the first test and I drowned my sorrows by milling around China Town. I think I may need to repeat that afternoon before I finish my work. Friday, Amtrak will take me back to lovely Central PA and I look forward to seeing my friends there.

I have a few stories about my trip to Philly but I will wait until tomorrow to write those. So here is a short story to tide you over, that is if anyone reads this thing.

So here's the story: It is December 26, 2006 after a long evening of friends, spirits, and some poker at the Weddington Christmas party. My phone alarm has been going off for quite some time unbeknownst to me. "Rock, rock, rock, rock, rock 'n roll high school," blares from my phone and gets louder by the second. I think I was the only person in the house not to hear the alarm. Next my phone rings and I do the unthinkable - I answer the phone. It was my temp job telling me that I could work that day if I wanted at my usual Tuesday gig, but I didn't have to report because they expected a slow day. In my semi-awake state I tell my temp agent that I would be happy to work - damn I am responsible when I am not fully awake. I spring to action to get ready for work. In my rush to make myself presentable, I quickly gurgle some of the blue mouthwash on the Weddington bathroom vanity without reading the label. To my surprise my entire mouth was an odd color of blue - quite attractive for a zombie but not so appealing for work. The "mouthwash" was actually Ethan and Julian's teeth rinse. It dies teeth and tongues blue and it doesn't come off of them until they are adequately brushed. I was damn lucky I looked into the mirror before hoping into my truck and speeding off to work.
